We welcomed the children back into school on Tuesday, which on the calendar said 6th June but the weather said 6th November! We’ve even had to put the heating back on. So much for ‘flaming June!’ Unfortunately, it was also the day when Rainbow Class visited Wonderland in Telford – an outdoor park. Nevertheless, the children came well prepared – wellies and waterproofs and they all had a wonderful time seeing the nursery rhymes being brought to life. Thank you to the parent volunteers for giving up your time to accompany the children.

On Thursday morning, children in KS2 (Y3-6) went to the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton to see the new Michael Morpurgo production of ‘Running Wild.’ This was a fantastic show and I can highly recommend it for older children (Y3 upwards.) The children, as always, were a real credit to us and all thoroughly enjoyed the performance.

Earlier this week our cross country finalists ran at Penkridge Middle School against other South Staffs winners. They all did extremely well and were great ambassadors for All Saints.’ The girls team did exceptionally well, making it through to the next round. A special well done to Isabella Hart for coming 2nd overall – a fantastic achievement, well done.

Next week our year 5 & 6 children are off on residential to Laches Wood, Coven. They will be participating in a wide range of outdoor activities including archery, climbing, canoeing and BMX biking. I am sure they will all have a fantastic time and I hope the sun shines (for at least part of the week!)

Wishing you all a warm and sunny weekend.
