Year 3 Visit to Coalport

National Space Week

The week commencing the 3rd October was national space week. The children enjoyed learning about the planets and the solar system. On Thursday 6th we were visited by Marjorie Somerville, a space expert, who came and spoke to the children about her experiences. The children thoroughly enjoyed the visit and Marjorie commented how impressed she was with the children’s knowledge about the solar system.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

On Friday 30th September we held a coffee morning to raise funds for Macmillan. The children brought in cakes which were sold throughout the day by our charity group – the All Saints’ All Stars. We also held our own ‘bake-off’ with children and their parents taking part. The cakes were truly scrumptious and the judges had a difficult time deciding on the winning entries. Well done to everyone who took part, either making or buying cakes. We raised a staggering £403.69!
