Well done to the children in Rainbow Class and Unicorn Class for their wonderful performances in the nativities this week. They all sang beautifully and spoke their lines clearly – a huge feat in front of such a large audience. A big thank you to everyone who came along. We received some lovely comments about each performance and I know that everyone who came thoroughly enjoyed each performance. I’m sure you’ll treasure these memories for a very long time. A huge thank you to Miss Casa, Mrs Thornton, Mrs Painter and Mrs Griffiths for all your hard work and thank you to all the parents and families for providing such wonderful costumes.

This afternoon, our Rainbow children are making their shoe-box nativity scenes with their parents. Each year, the scenes get bigger and brighter and I am sure this afternoon will be no different. I will post pictures on the website as soon as I can.

This Sunday, the Christingle Service is being held in church. The service starts at 10am and all our families are welcome. The service is always very special and the children love holding the lit Christingles when the lights go down.

Next week is our last week in school for 2016! I’m not sure where this year has gone. As they say…time flies when you’re having fun! Our last week is of course a very busy one. On Monday and Tuesday we are holding our Christmas Fairs. There will be a range of stalls for your children to either make crafts or buy goodies. This year we also have a stall selling Christmas presents for grown-ups so please let your children bring in extra money (£1 per present) as we know how much the children love to give presents as well as receive them.

On Wednesday we are having our Christmas parties. It will be a non-uniform day and we ask each child to bring in a named plate of food. On Thursday we are having another non-uniform day as we are helping raise funds for Save the Children by asking everyone to wear a Christmas jumper and make their donations through Parent Pay. Thursday is also Christmas lunch day.

On Friday, we will be walking to church at 1.30 ready for the service at 2pm. We hope to see all our families and friends there at this very special time of year.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend,

Jane Woodall
