Our Creative Curriculum Topics 2017-2018
Off With Her Head!
We have PE every Wednesday and Friday afternoon. Please make sure your child has their full PE kit on these days.
We encourage our children to continue their learning at home. Please ask your child what they have been learning about rather than what they have done that day.
At All Saints’ we believe that reading and comprehension skills are vital in order for your child to make progress in all areas of the curriculum. Please encorage your child to read every day. Children in year 5 and 6 should read aloud to an adult at least twice a week. The children will be sent home a reading comprehension every week too.
Please encourage your child to practise their times tables up to 12x12 in order to develop speed and accuracy.

DNA & Genetics
In our science lessons we have been learning about DNA and genetics and how these help form who we are and what we look like. In our investigation we had to choose at random the DNA codes to create an image of a person.
Visit to Ezone
Dragon Class thoroughly enjoyed their day at Ezone. They learnt about materials, reversible and irreversible changes as part of their topic ‘Alchemy Island.’ One irreversible change they all particularly enjoyed was toasting bread on the campfire!
