We have had another busy and productive week and I am really pleased how well the children have settled into their new routines.

Our extra-curricular activities got off to a flying start this week and the children are thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to do more sport, music, singing, acting and art work throughout the week.

Our first school and worship council meeting was held on Wednesday and the  councillors will soon be voting for their Chairperson  for each committee to lead each meeting. The children already have some super ideas of how we can make a positive difference to the children at All Saints.’

On Wednesday, we held our first PTFA meeting of the year and decided on some important dates for the autumn term (see the calendar inside.) Our next meeting will be the AGM on  Thursday 18th October in which members will be voting in a new Chairperson. (All parents are automatic members of the PTFA so everyone is welcome to attend.

The children in year 5 & 6 enjoyed their first swimming lesson this week at Ounsdale Leisure Centre. The children in year 3 and 4 will get the opportunity to go swimming after Christmas.

Next week, Beech Class (Y1 & 2) are off to Ezone for part of their science topic on the environment. We hope the weather is kind to them.

Also next week, we are holding a meeting for parents of children in year 3 to give you further information about their one-night residential to Coalport. The meeting will be held in Mr Metcalfe’s classroom and will start at approximately 3.35pm.

In September we also have our Y6 parents’ meeting regarding the SATs, the book fair and Macmillan coffee morning. Letters about these events will be sent out to you in due course.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
